Analyzer Overview
Analyzer is the Antares planning workspace for Tableau migration. It turns workbook files, Tableau metadata, usage signals, and workbook structure into reports that help teams decide what to migrate, redesign, archive, investigate, or convert.
What Analyzer Answers
Section titled “What Analyzer Answers”- What exists?Build an inventory of workbooks, projects, dashboards, owners, users, groups, and available source metadata.
- How hard is it?Score Tableau complexity and target-specific migration difficulty for Power BI or Databricks AI/BI.
- What matters most?Use usage, ownership, access, blockers, and warnings to prioritize migration waves with evidence.
Analysis Sources
Section titled “Analysis Sources”Analyzer can start from one workbook file or from a connected Tableau environment.

Report Surfaces
Section titled “Report Surfaces”- Environment overviewSummarizes workbook, dashboard, user, group, project, usage, and activity context when those capabilities are available.
- Workbook tableSupports portfolio triage with search, sort, tier comparison, usage columns, owner/project context, and CSV export.
- Workbook detailsShows workbook metadata, scores, reasons, complexity components, field statistics, data sources, and usage/access patterns.
- Logs & InfoShows processing logs, job metadata, partial progress for failed or cancelled jobs, and details useful for troubleshooting.
Analyzer and Converter
Section titled “Analyzer and Converter”Use Analyzer before Converter when you need to decide what should move and how risky each workbook is. Use Converter when a selected workbook is ready to generate target-platform output.

Recommended Path
Section titled “Recommended Path”- Create an analysis from a workbook upload or Tableau connection.
- Review the report and Logs & Info tab after processing.
- Open workbook details for high-risk or high-value workbooks.
- Decide next action: migrate, redesign, archive, investigate, or convert.
