Quick Start

Start with the path that matches what you have today.

If you only have a workbook file, upload it for a fast migration-readiness report. If you need migration planning across many workbooks, connect Tableau first. If you already know what you want to migrate, start with Converter.

Use this path when you have a .twb or .twbx file and want a fast complexity assessment without connecting Tableau.

  1. Open try.getantares.io or sign in to your Antares tenant.
  2. Choose Upload Workbook.
  3. Upload a .twb or .twbx file.
  4. Wait for Antares to validate and analyze the workbook.
  5. Review complexity, blockers, warnings, calculations, parameters, data sources, and migration notes.

For file requirements, see Upload a Workbook.

Use this path when you need inventory, ownership, usage context, and migration scoring across Tableau Cloud or Tableau Server.

  1. Sign in to Antares.
  2. Create a Tableau connection.
  3. Test the connection and run the pre-check.
  4. Start a new analysis from the connection.
  5. Watch progress and logs while Antares processes the environment.
  6. Review the environment overview, workbook catalog, usage sections, and workbook detail pages.

For connection requirements, see Connect Tableau.

Use this path when you already have a workbook selected for conversion.

  1. Create a conversion job.
  2. Choose the target BI platform when more than one target is enabled.
  3. Upload a .twb, .twbx, or supported ZIP package.
  4. Review conversion status, logs, and generated outputs.
  5. Download the generated artifacts and conversion report.
  6. Deploy Power BI output to Microsoft Fabric if a Fabric connection is configured.

For details, see Converter and Deploy Power BI Output to Fabric.
